Before I founded AURAJONG, my team already had more than 10 years of experience in the automatic mahjong table industry.
Over the years, I came to understand something very clearly: two mahjong tables can look almost identical on the outside, yet be very different in quality.
Those differences are not always easy to see at first. More often, they reveal themselves over time, through reliability, consistency, and how well the table continues to perform after years of use.
As I learned more about American Mahjong, the idea behind AURAJONG gradually became very clear to me.
It came down to three things.
An automatic mahjong table should do more than shuffle tiles.
It should reduce unnecessary effort, make the game easier to enjoy, and create a smoother, more enjoyable experience for everyone around the table.
AURAJONG should be designed for American Mahjong from the very beginning, not simply adapted from a table made for another style of play.
The way people play, use their tiles, read their cards, and interact around the table should all be considered from the start.
A good mahjong table should be reliable, durable, and something people can depend on for many years.
But that is only part of it.
It should also respect the space it lives in. It should not feel like a machine placed in a beautiful room. It should feel like part of that room, something people are happy to live with even when no one is playing.
And perhaps, in its own way, even feel like a piece of art.
These ideas are why we created AURAJONG.
We want mahjong to feel simpler, more relaxed, and more enjoyable.
With AURAJONG, we hope people can spend less time dealing with the table and more time enjoying the game, the conversation, and the people around them.
